WORLD MUSIC DAY
21.6.2025.
Olivera had the privilege to perform alongside the renowned RTS Symphony Orchestra and Choir in the Trade Union Hall (mts Hall) under the baton of Srboljub Dinić.
"(Olivera)...particularly stood out in her performance of the dazzling aria "Glitter and Be Gay" from Bernstein's opera Candide ... this aria, however, is also a mocking imitation of coloratura arias from the Romantic period, which was quite evident in Gočanin’s interpretation. The precisely executed high notes, sung with a piercing and well-shaped voice, came across as effortlessly performed and subtly emphasized, giving the entire character a truly humorous tone.
On the other hand, the melody "Somewhere" from Bernstein’s musical West Side Story came across as entirely melancholic and dreamy, thanks to a well-achieved melodic flow in her interpretation, without any breaks."
